Fwa I can write critiques now! First one, but I'll give it a shot.

Vision: Though I know you playing with the light, I think that it's a little bit too strong, especially on the cheek fur. Maybe smaller, preciser painting would make it look like there was a fur texture as well. But it looks great on the muzzle and legs. Also, if there was this strong of a light, perhaps making the contrast between the light and the dark stronger would make it more powerful.

Originality: Well, I really like the pose, as well as the thoughtful expression on her face. Not quite sure what to say here, seeing as you were focusing on the lighting more than the general composition.

Technique: I very much like your style, I love how the fur is brushed in so smoothly and follows the direction of real fur. It gives the impression of much more depth. The eyes look alive and gorgeous.

Impact: I think its a good start for getting an idea of light sources, and you did it very well by catching the little fluffs of fur that stick up, even on the side away from the light. The only issue I have is the amount of light, and perhaps the color is a bit strong too. If there is such strong light shining directly onto her, I'm guessing it's probably sunrise or sunset from the direction that it's coming from. Maybe adding a bit of red or orange to the light will give the impression of dawn. Or, if you were aiming for bright sunlight at noon, then of course the light would be coming from the top, and that would change everything.

So, all in all, I think it's a very well done piece, great job!
